Belarasa Indonesia

If you’re facing a crisis pregnancy in Indonesia and don’t know where to turn — you have more options than you think. Belarasa Indonesia explains your rights and what support exists.

Maybe you found this page by searching for help with an unplanned pregnancy in Indonesia. Maybe someone sent you the link. Maybe you’ve been sitting with something heavy for a while and finally decided to look for answers. Whatever brought you here — you are not alone. And regardless of where you are in Indonesia, you have more options than fear is telling you right now.

WHAT IS BELARASA INDONESIA?

Belarasa Indonesia is a humanitarian foundation based in Sanur, Bali, Indonesia. We support pregnant mothers facing crisis pregnancies. Providing safe housing, medical care, psychological support, and licensed social worker guidance. Everything we do is free, confidential, and without conditions.

Right now, we serve mothers who are living in Bali. But we know that the need doesn’t stop at any border.

OPTIONS FOR UNPLANNED PREGNANCY IN INDONESIA

Regardless of where you are in Indonesia, these options exist for you:

  1. Keeping and raising your baby. With or without support from the father or your family. There are organisations and government programs across Indonesia that can help you do this.

  2. Family reconnection. If your family doesn’t know yet, that conversation may be harder — and more healing — than you think. Many mothers who felt completely alone found support closer to home than they expected.

  3. Legal adoption in Indonesia. If you believe adoption is the right path for your child, this is a formal, government-overseen process in Indonesia. It is not something that happens overnight, and it requires proper legal procedure through Dinas Sosial in your area. Most importantly — no decision you make before birth is legally binding. You can change your mind at any point before a court decree is signed. And if adoption does proceed, it is Dinas Sosial — not any private organisation — that decides where your child is placed.

  4. Reaching out to your local Dinas Sosial. Every city and regency in Indonesia has a Social Affairs Office. They are the government body responsible for protecting mothers and children in crisis. You have the right to walk in and ask for help — at no cost.

LEGAL RIGHTS AS A PREGNANT MOTHER IN INDONESIA

Many mothers in Indonesia don’t know these rights exist:

  1. No decision you make before birth is legally binding
  2. You retain full legal custody of your child until a court decree is final
  3. You cannot be pressured into any outcome — including adoption
  4. You can change your mind at any point before the court decree is signed — not just before birth
  5. Any support given to you cannot be made conditional on what you decide to do

HOW BELARASA CAN HELP

We may not be able to walk alongside you physically right now — but here is what we can still offer you, wherever you are in Indonesia:

  1. Information You have legal rights as a mother in Indonesia that many women don’t know about. We want you to know them.
  2. A listening ear If you need someone to talk to — not to tell you what to do, but to help you understand your options — reach out to us via WhatsApp. We will respond with care.
  3. A referral We know trusted organisations across Indonesia doing similar work. Tell us where you are and we will do our best to connect you with someone closer to you.
  4. A place on our waitlist We are growing beyond Bali. Register your interest and we will keep you informed when we can reach you.

FOR EVERY PREGNANT MOTHER IN INDONESIA

A decision made in fear is not a free decision. You deserve to make this choice from a place of safety, honest information, and support — not from a place of panic, isolation, or pressure from anyone around you.

We built Belarasa Indonesia because we believe that. And even if we can’t be physically present with you right now, we want you to know that this foundation exists, that it is growing, and that when we can reach you — we will.
